Charles G. Schmidt

Charles (Chuck) Schmidt is Market Area Vice President – West for WM Recycle America, a majority-owned subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc.

Mr. Schmidt is responsible for the operational activities of 12 facilities and more than 550 employees and nearly $100 million in annual revenue and nearly 800,000 tons or recyclables sold.

Before accepting his current responsibilities, Mr. Schmidt was District Manager for NY and PA in WM Recycle America East Market Area where he was responsible for multiple MRF sites with revenue exceeding $20 million, including the new 7,500 TPM SS facility at Syracuse, NY

Prior to joining WM Recycle America, Mr. Schmidt worked in the Logistics, Transportation and Supply Chain Management industry.  He was a Global Account Manager for a domestic and international supply chain management company.  He has 21 years experience in business and operations and earned a BA from State University of NY, Fredonia with a Degree in Communications
